Pflugerville announces Music in the Park lineup
Every other Friday from June 10 - August 5

The City of Pflugerville Parks and Recreation Department hosts Music in the Park every other Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., June 10 to August 5 at Pfluger Park, 515 City Park Road.

"Nothing beats free live music," Parks and Recreation Director Amy Atkins said. "Music in the Park is a great opportunity to check out some local live bands, enjoy the outdoors and relax."

Park amenities include a playground for children to play on, picnic areas, a basketball court and open field to enjoy recreational activities during the concert.

The music lineup for 2011 includes calypso, rock, blues and more. The entertainment lineup for the summer includes:

June 10 - Inside Out Steelband A group of steel drummers perform styles including: calypso, soca, samba, Latin, reggae, jazz and pop.

June 24 - Mike Milligan & the Altar Boyz Enjoy a little bit of everything. Blues, Funk, R&B.

July 8 - The Invincible Czars A mix of riff rock, classical music, loungy groves, country shuffle, circus polka along with some patriotic flare.

July 22 -  The Rust Tones  Enjoy this blues, country, and jam band

August 5 - The Emerson Biggins Band Its time for classic rock, metal, rock.
