1. How do I pay my utility bill?: Utility bills may be paid in several different ways. Payment options

Is there an after hours place to drop my payment?: There is an after hours drop box directly under the bulletin boards on the front of City Hall at 100 East Main Street,Suite 100, however payments received after hours will not be credited until the next business day. For your protection, please do not put cash in the drop box.

3. What day does my trash and recycling get picked up?: The attached schedule gives you a list by day of your trash and recycling pickup days. Solid Waste/Recycle Schedule

4. Can I put a mattress or appliance out for the trash pickup?: Progressive Waste Solutions (formerly IESI) I will pick up large household items such as furniture and/or appliances. However, air conditioners and refrigerators/freezers must have the freon removed by a licensed plumber and be labeled as so by the technician.

5. What can I recycle?: The City of Pflugerville through a contract with Progressive Waste Solutions (formerly IESI) is able to recycle Plastics 1-7, cardboard, glass, plastics,and cans. Residents are encouraged to refer to the sticker on your blue recycle cart for reference. Additional items are accepted at the City's Recycle Center to include scrap metal, vehicle batteries and appliances. More...

6. My trash cans are swarming with flies...What do I do?: Let's start a NO FLY ZONE! We’re coming into fly season. Below are some recommendations to avoid those nasty pests!
Keep carts in shaded area out of sun exposure.
Keep carts tightly closed.
Tightly wrap discarded foods in newspaper.
Wash carts out with high pressure spray nozzle.
Wash carts out with detergent or bleach or simply pour bleach down the inside of the carts on a regular basis.
Rinse recycled food/drink cartons.
Freeze discarded meats/food until trash day.
Bag trash in tightly closed bags.
Refer to epestsupply.com or local suppliers for insect control products.
Flies & maggots can be killed with boiling water.
