This list is updated as new classes are added throughout the season. Winter session registration opened on Wednesday, December 7, 2016. Some classes have ongoing registration.

Classes are held at the Pflugerville Recreation Center, 400 Immanuel Road, unless otherwise stated.
Jan. 3 - Feb. 23
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:30 p.m.
$8 per class / $80 for 8-week session
Aerobic and conditioning movements to target large and small muscle groups.
Class will be a mixture of using step, weights, stretch bands, exercise balls
and weighted bars. It is for all levels of abilities. Dress in lightweight workout clothes.
Bring a yoga mat and water to drink. Instructor: Linda Spataro.
Location: Windermere Clubhouse, 16800 Gower Street.

Intermediate: 9:15 a.m.
January 3 - 26
$40 per month or $8 per class
A yoga class designed for seniors who are able to get down on the floor. Chairs will be provided for those who need time and training on how to effectively move to the floor using props, etc. Effective use of props will be encouraged and demonstrated. This class is scheduled to meet twice a week.
Students: Please bring your own mat, one or two yoga blocks, yoga strap, a large beach town or small blanket, a small pillow, and a bottle of water for drinking.

$25 for a 10-class punch card, $3 per class
This low-impact fitness class is great for seniors, low mobility persons, or adults with rehab or physical therapy issues. This class will fit your needs.
Adult Tap Dance
Jan. 5 - March 2
Thursday, 6:30 p.m.
$45 per session
This high-energy class will bring rhythm to your dancing feet. You'll learn basics and then use those to build increasingly complex rhythms, patterns, and steps. One hour class explores classic Broadway style tap dance and culminates in an optional performance opportunity in spring. Instructor: Ann Powell
Adult Belly Dance (Middle Eastern Dance)
Jan. 4 - March 1
Wednesday, 2 p.m.
$45 per session
This graceful dance is a low-impact workout that tones the body and boosts energy, and is also an expressive art form that increases poise and self-esteem. The first session covers the basic belly dance vocabulary, including beginning zills and veils. The second session builds on existing skills; students begin to learn a choreography and have an opportunity for an optional performance! Yes, beginners can sign up for either session, or both. Instructor Sensei Andrew Budd teaches both children and adults the practical system of empty-handed self defense, known as Enshin Karate. Enshin Karate stresses the development of flexibility, power, and speed with emphasis on stretching, conditioning, and technique. Training builds spiritual awareness, mental alertness, a sense of confidence, as well providing resources for meeting life's challenges.

Learn the Olympic Sport of archery in this beginner-level class. The skills of modern-day archery with USA Archery Associates techniques will be learned through skill drills, active shooting, and games. All equipment is provided. Students should dress accordingly. Instructor: Ron Dahlseid.
Location: Windermere Park tennis courts, 16800 Gower Street.
Learn new techniques, get some exercise and improve coordination. Bring a new can of tennis balls and water to drink. Private lessons available, including "Tennis Strokes & Strategies". Instructor: Alex W. Porter, USPTA.

One centered person between Heaven and Earth. Tai Chi is a slow, continuous, relaxed and focused movement. It provides the benefits of meditation, the positive effects of exercise, and helps to improve coordination, flexibility, and balance. Tai Chi can help you reduce stress and attain feelings of well-being. This class will teach you the 24 movements of the simplified form and is suitable for both beginner and continuing students. Senior Line Dancing (Senior Club members - join today!)

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Participants must pay dues to Senior Activity Center.
Adults ages 55 and older learn a variety of steps to music from years gone by and today's contemporary hits. Classes are held in the gymnasium at the Recreation Center.
